United Way Launches Volunteer Recruitment for 2025 Free File Tax Prep Program

United Way of Pickens County is preparing for another impactful tax season, and we’re calling on community members to step up and make a difference.

Each year, a dedicated team of trained volunteers provides free tax preparation services to individuals and families across Pickens County—many of whom earn an average income of just $24,000. Last tax season alone, nearly 60 volunteers helped file more than 2,200 tax returns, putting critical refunds directly into the hands of those who need it most.
