Luncheon for Literacy
The annual Women United Luncheon for Literacy brings together women from across the community to enjoy an inspirational keynote speaker, network with like-minded women, and learn about the early literacy work that Women United members are doing across Pickens County.
The 2020 Luncheon for Liteacy will be held Thursday, March 19, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Tri-County Technical College in Easley and will feature nationally acclaimed network news anchor and correspondent Jane Robelot as the keynote speaker. Tickets are $25 each ($200 for a table of 8) and will go on sale February 3.
Table and event sponsorship opportunities will also be available.
Women United Preschool Pages is an initiative supporting the development of early literacy skills in preschoolers in Pickens County. A partnership with Central Academy of the Arts, Chastain Road Elementary, and McKissick Academy of Science and Technology, Women United provides books, materials and volunteer time to support the early literacy programs being offered at the partner schools.
