United Way of Pickens County Women United is part of a robust and diverse network of more than 70,000 women in 165 communities across six countries, all dedicated to improving lives and creating stronger communities. These women make up the single most successful organization of its kind, having raised more than $1billion since its inception in 2002 and affecting worldwide change in real ways. The contributions of these women goes well beyond financial donations; they get involved, shake things up and create positive change.
A Local Impact
United Way of Pickens County Women United honors the power and influence of women in philanthropy through engaging, educating and empowering fellow women in Pickens County to invest in the betterment of our community. They are fiercely committed to improving the lives of children in Pickens County through supporting programs like Camp iRock and through their newest early literacy initiative, Preschool Pages.
Women United Preschool Pages is an initiative supporting the development of early literacy skills in infants, toddlers and preschoolers in Pickens County. A partnership with Central Elementary, Chastain Road Elementary, and McKissick Elementary, Women United provides books, materials and volunteer time to support the early literacy programs being offered at the partner schools. Join Women United
We invite you to join Women United with an annual gift of $1,000 or more to United Way. Want to join but not ready to make the $1,000 annual commitment? Women United offers a three year Step Up Membership option, allowing you to donate $500 the first year, $750 the second year, and $1,000 the third year and beyond.
