Palmetto Society

Nearly two decades ago, the Palmetto Society was established to honor the individuals that have become leaders in our community’s success. Acknowledging the needs of the community and their power to address these needs, members of the Palmetto Society set an example for others to follow by investing a leadership gift of $1,000 or more to the United Way of Pickens County. Leadership gifts provide a foundation for improving lives and creating lasting change. Strong leaders are vital to a strong community. In our community, Palmetto Society members and strong leaders are one in the same.

Becoming a Palmetto Society member is just one of the ways you can join with others to make life in Pickens County better for everyone. When you choose to give a leadership gift, you become part of a special group; a group that is taking the opportunity to make a real difference in a significant way.

Annual gifts of $1,000 or more qualify you as a Palmetto Society member. Annual gifts of $10,000 or more qualify you to become part of the Tocqueville Society and receive national recognition.

Leadership gifts play a critical role in the delivery of the important work of United Way and allow us to positively impact the community in our focus areas of Education, Financial Stability and Community Basic Services.

Why Give at the Leadership Level?

  • Recognition as a role model in the community
  • Knowledge that you have made a difference improving lives
