With winter weather expected across the community, United Way of Pickens County is working alongside local partners to help residents prepare, stay safe, and recover together. We are sharing timely information, connecting people to available resources, and standing ready to support our neighbors before, during, and after the storm.
Join us for an inspiring luncheon supporting early literacy in Pickens County. This annual Women United event brings together community leaders to raise funds for Preschool Pages and help put books into the hands of toddlers. Hosted by WYFF News 4's Jane Robelot and featuring keynote speaker Dr. C.C. Bates of Clemson University’s Early Literacy Center for South Carolina.

We’re excited to share that USA Today’s annual Holiday Gift Guide highlighted Camp iRock and featured three of 
our exceptional Camp iRock instructors.
Anna Spatafora
Anna manages our strategic direction and leads our community investment in helping children and youth achieve their potential through education. She focuses on achieving our bold goal of 70% of Pickens County 3rd graders reading on grade level by 2028.
Matt Smith
Matt leads our work in financial security with a vision to create financial independence for people in our community. He has oversight over our financial security programs, including Free File and Pathways at Work.
Theresa Singletary
In this role, Theresa strengthens Pickens County’s disaster preparedness and long-term recovery efforts. She works closely with emergency services, nonprofits, and faith-based partners to identify gaps, mobilize resources, and coordinate collaborative solutions. Theresa’s leadership ensures a strong and unified response that protects lives, restores stability, and builds resilience across our community.
Jennifer Shurley
Jennifer works to make sure donors know how impactful their gift truly is through communicating United Way of Pickens County's message to the community. She also facilitates Women United, a group of women dedicated to improving early literacy in Pickens County.
