Fiscal Accountability
We take fiscal responsibility seriously. Every donor dollar is stewarded by a volunteer Board of Directors, audited annually, and reported transparently to the community.
In the most recent reporting year, 85.7% of United Way of Pickens County's total expenses were devoted to program services. We maintain low fundraising and administrative costs through volunteer leadership at every level of the organization and through in-kind donations from local businesses and community members.
SC Secretary of State Angel Award
United Way of Pickens County was named a 2025 Angel Award recipient by the South Carolina Secretary of State. The Angel Award honors charities that have significantly impacted communities in South Carolina and demonstrated good stewardship of charitable resources.
