United Way of Pickens County will hold its annual celebration, United in Action: Launching Change Together, on Thursday, September 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tri-County Technical College Easley Campus, 1774 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Tickets are $35 a person, or $245 for a table of eight. Registration closes Tuesday, August 25.
This event will celebrate the community partners, businesses, and volunteers behind the successes in Education, Financial Security, Mental Well-Being, and Community Resilience work this year, and outline United Way's priorities for the year ahead.
Josh Hawkins, President-Elect of the South Carolina Emergency Management Association, will deliver the keynote address. In his work with the state association, Hawkins knows first hand the importance of building relationships among emergency managers, government agencies, private-sector organizations, and community partners before disasters occur. His address will highlight the importance of the new Community Resilience programs that United Way of Pickens County has undertaken, and the value of partnership in serving our community.
