Join us for the 2018 Women United Luncheon for Literacy featuring keynote speaker Naomi Torfin Lett
Naomi Torfin Lett is a graduate of James Madison University in Virginia. After college she volunteered with the U.S. Peace Corps in Niger West Africa. Upon returning to the states, she began what is now a 15-year career in the non-profit sector. Naomi's work has focused specifically on policy and advocacy for the last 8 years. She helped develop legislation for the South Carolina child welfare system and later assisted in bills related to advancing the financial stability of working poor in South Carolina.
Naomi is dedicated to providing a voice for those who often go unheard and finding solutions that lift all South Carolinians. Married with three children, ages 6, 10 and 14, Naomi hopes to instill the importance of service to others in all of her children and set an example of what that means.
Luncheon attendees will also hear an update on Camp iRock, as well as learn about an exciting new initiative and involvement opportunities which further our efforts to improve the lives of children in Pickens County.
