Leaders Make A Difference
True leaders come from all walks of life. They can be electricians, teachers, homemakers or executives. What makes them stand out is their commitment to lead by example through gifts of financial resources, time or talent.
Becoming a United Way Leadership donor is just one of the ways you can join with others to make life in Pickens County better for everyone. When you choose to give at a Leadership or Alexis de Tocqueville level, you become part of a special group; a group that is taking the opportunity to make a real difference in a significant way.
Annual gifts of $1,000 or more qualify you as a Palmetto Society member. Annual gifts of $10,000 or more qualify you to become part of the Tocqueville Society and receive national recognition.
In 2008, Leadership and Tocqueville givers represented 25% of our annual campaign. Leadership gifts play a critical role in the delivery of the important work of United Way and allow us to provide funding to programs that build strong families, give children tools for success in life, support seniors, enable adults to develop personal self-sufficiency and provide basic human needs for those experiencing hard times or crises.
